In order to support the learning of the Whole Child,  Barnstable Public Schools has taken various steps.  This includes,  staff from the district having received training from  Mass General’s Think-Kids program presenting the evidence based Collaborative Problem Solving Model.  This approach supports social emotional learning through addressing lagging skills.  It is based on the premise that kids do well if they can and the need to identify lagging skills to support social emotional growth.  For an overview of this approach,  please check out the following video.
