The Barnstable Youth Commission is hosting its 10th Annual Substance Abuse Prevention Forum on Thursday Night November 9th at 5:30 PM at the Barnstable Adult Community Center. The forum is intended for parents to learn current information about drugs in our public schools. The event will include members of the Barnstable Police Department telling attendees about the devices being used, and the national trends in drug use in schools. The Hidden in Plain Sight trailer will be at BACC on the 9th. The trailer is designed to look like a modern teenager’s room while highlighting all the places teens can hide illicit substances, weapons, and anything else they don’t want parents to find. Lastly, we will be welcoming the Mass. Behavioral Hotline to the event to speak to parents about the resources available to them if they have concerns about their child. We hope you can join us.
