“Class of 2019”

 

The following are available now for this school year.

You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer

(if available) in the School Counseling Department – Room 2112. Please see Mrs. Kipnes with any questions.

 

Cape Cod Cycling Club Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating Cape Cod high school seniors who have been accepted to and entering college in the fall of 2019; applicants must be planning to major in physical therapy or sports medicine, or another major related to physical health or activity (ex. Chiropractic medicine, nutritionist/dietician, athletic training, exercise science, etc). Applicant must show service to the community and family, participation in high school activities, and academic performance.

How to apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One $500 scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline:  April 1, 2019

 

Thelma McManus Memorial Art Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be Barnstable High School seniors who are art students that plan to attend an accredited visual art school or college in the fall of 2019. This award will be based on merit and need as well.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One $1000 scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline: Your application requirements should be turned in to Mr. Kemp – Room 2718 by March 8, 2019.

 

Cape Cod Art Center Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be Barnstable High School seniors who are art students that plan to attend an accredited visual art school or college in the fall of 2019. This award will be based on merit and need as well.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One $250 scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline: Your application requirements should be turned in to Mr. Kemp – Room 2718 by March 8, 2019.

 

Hyannis Athletic Association Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors from a high school in the Town of Barnstable who are furthering their education and shows a commitment to community service and athletics. Special consideration will be given to those students who have volunteered for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (Cape Cod Baseball League) in some capacity and to those connected to Barnstable sports programs.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes  in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Three scholarships of $500 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 15, 2019

 

The Cranberry Educational Foundation Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors, with a GPA of 2.5 or better, from one of the cranberry growing towns in Massachusetts (Barnstable is one) who are furthering their education. The award is not limited to any specific field of study, however, individuals studying in the fields of cranberry agriculture, environmental or natural resources will receive priority.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Three scholarships totaling $5000 will be awarded.

Deadline: Must be received at the CCCGA by 5pm on Friday, April 1, 2019.

 

The Christa Baptiste-Patterson Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who have the awareness of the importance of bone marrow donation. They should be students who have done something to positively affect the life of another, have aspirations for the future and have financial need for college.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One scholarship of $500 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 19, 2019

 

Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women, Inc. (Cape Cod Chapter)

Criteria: Applicants must be residents of Cape Cod – from Bourne to Provincetown. Applicants must be applying to a Business or Technical School, or College or University with annual tuition of $5000 or more.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: $500

Deadline:  Postmarked by March 31, 2019

 

Heidrea for Heros, Inc. Veterans Legacy Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant must be the son/daughter of a Veteran or currently enrolled in Junior ROTC (JROTC); applicant must be a graduating senior  who has maintained between a 2.5 - 4.0 GPA throughout his/her final two years of high school, and is planning to enroll full time in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited higher education institution, or an advanced vocational/technical school in the Fall of 2019.  

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: $500

Deadline:  April 12, 2019

 

Osterville Business & Professional Association/Osterville Village Association

Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior, residing in Osterville- or applicant must be the child of an OBPA member regardless of that child’s residence or school attended.

How to Apply:  Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One scholarship in the amount of $1500 will be awarded.

Deadline:   May 6, 2019

 

Cape Cod Women’s Golf League Scholarship

Criteria:  Awarded to a deserving female student with an active interest in golf.  Must have better than average grades, participate in extra-curricular activities and plan to attend college in the fall.

How to Apply:  Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office, room 2112.

Amount of Award:  One $1000 scholarship will be awarded

Deadline:  May 1, 2019
