The following are available now for this school year.

You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer

(if available) in the School Counseling Department – Room 2112. Please see Mrs. Kipnes with any questions.

 

John K. Atsalis Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicant must be a BHS graduating senior with a demonstrated financial need and who will be attending an accredited institution of higher learning in the fall of 2019.

How to apply: Application is the BHS application located on the school counseling website.  Please submit application along with transcript and counselor recommendation to  Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112, by the 2pm deadline on 3.15.19.

Amount of Award: One $750 scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline:  March 15, 2019

 

Cape Cod Women’s Golf League Scholarship

Criteria:  Awarded to a deserving female student with an active interest in golf.  Must have better than average grades, participate in extra-curricular activities and plan to attend college in the fall.

How to Apply:  Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office, room 2112.

Amount of Award:  One $1000 scholarship will be awarded

Deadline:  May 1, 2019

 

Indian Ponds Association Edward Schwarm Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who reside in Marstons Mills, who will balance a professional career with a continuing effort to preserve our environment, and are planning to attend college in the fall of 2019.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes  in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112 or online at www.indianponds.org

Amount of Award: One scholarship of $1000 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 1, 2019

 

Cape Cod Healthcare/Cape Cod Hospital Scholarship

Criteria:  For graduating seniors in Barnstable County who are enrolling in a program at a college or university to become a Registered Nurse.

How to Apply:  Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline:  April 1, 2019

 

John F. Kennedy Museum $2500 Scholarship Essay Contest

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating Cape & Islands high school seniors who are actively involved in public service, volunteerism and/or community projects who will be attending college in the fall of 2019.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Two scholarships of $2500 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 1, 2019

 

Barnstable Youth Football, Inc. Silver Bullets Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be football players and cheerleaders who played or cheered for the Silver Bullets Program and went on to play or cheer at BHS, who excelled in the classroom, participated in community service during high school and will be continuing their education after graduation.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Scholarships of $250 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 24, 2019 – Please submit applications to Mrs. Kipnes in Room 2112.

 

Cotuit Athletic Association/Cotuit Kettleers - Manuel Robello Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating high school seniors who reside in the towns of Barnstable, Mashpee or Sandwich who plan on attending college. Preference will be given to applicants who have some connection to the Cotuit Athletic Association/Cotuit Kettleers organization and/or Barnstable athletic programs.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  A maximum of four $750 scholarships will be awarded to High School Seniors residing in the Towns of Barnstable, Mashpee and Sandwich.

Deadline: April 1, 2019

 

Garden Club of Hyannis Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors planning to major in environmental fields of study, such as botany, conservation, environmental concerns, forestry, horticulture, landscape design/architecture or a related field.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: $6000 in scholarships will be awarded ;number and amount of scholarships to be determined based on the number of applicants.

Deadline: April 1, 2019

 

Karol Wyckoff Rotary Club Art Scholarship (administered by the Hyannis Rotary Club)

Criteria: Applicants should be Barnstable High School seniors who are art students that plan to attend an accredited visual art school or college in the fall of 2019. This award will be based on merit and need as well.

How to Apply:  Information is available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112, or Mr. Kemp, in Room 2718.

Amount of Award: One $1500 scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline: Your application requirements should be turned in to Mr. Kemp – Room 2718 by March 8, 2019.

 

Arts Foundation of Cape Cod Scholarships

Criteria: Scholarship applications are accepted from students who are graduating from public, private or home school, living on Cape Cod and are accepted into a degree program at an accredited college or university. Must be pursuing higher education in creative arts fields such as music, dance, drama, visual arts, fashion design and creative writing.  Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and require submission of a portfolio and essay. Selections are made based on the quality of submissions, excellence of the work and academic achievement.

Friends of Sandwich Public Library / Richard J. Connor Award Scholarship

Criteria:  For a graduating  senior who resides in Sandwich, regardless of where he/she attends school,  and who will be continuing his/her education as a full-time student at a fully accredited institution.

How to Apply:  Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  One $2500 scholarship will be awarded

Deadline:  April 4, 2019

 

Barnstable Comedy Club Scholarship

Criteria:  For a Cape Cod public high school graduating senior who will be entering an accredited school, college or university in the Fall of 2019 to major in the creative arts.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs.Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  One $500 scholarship will be awarded

Deadline: April 15, 2019

Gosnold on Cape Cod Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors from Cape Cod who will be entering college in the fall of 2019 and planning to major in psychology, social work or another field of study that is relevant to addiction and/or mental health.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. Kipnes  in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Two $2500 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline: April 24, 2019

 

HarborOne ONECommunity Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and planning to attend a 2 to 4 year accredited college or university.  Also, someone in the immediate family(parents, stepparents, guardians, siblings or applicant) must have an active HarborOne account, opened by March 15, 2019.

How to Apply: Information is available from Mrs. Kipnes  in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112. Application is on line @ harborone.com/scholarship

Amount of Award: Twenty $5000 one-time scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline: March 15, 2019

 

Cape Cod Republican Club Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are college bound and have financial need. Applicants should demonstrate hard work, integrity, personal responsibility, and leadership through community service and/or volunteerism.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs.Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Five $500 scholarships will be awarded
