The following are available now for this school year. 

You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer 

(if available) in Hub 4 – Room 2112. Please see Mrs. MacFarlane with any questions.



Massachusetts Shellfish Officers Association Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who live in a city or town that sponsors a representative to the MSOA (Town of Barnstable residents are one), who will be continuing their education in a Marine Biology program.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Amount and number of scholarships to be awarded is to be determined.

Deadline: April 3, 2020

 

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors and permanent residents of New England who plan on attending college in the US this fall. You must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have financial need. Students must display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, the community or at home), a strong work ethic demonstrated by part time employment while in school, grit and passion for overcoming obstacles and/or achieving future goals, and leadership qualities. 

How to Apply: Information about applying online is available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112 or on their website at www.phillips-scholarship.org.

Amount of Award: Scholarship amounts vary.

Deadline: April 3, 2020, by noon for early application deadline or May 1, 2020, noon, for regular application option.




Cape Cod Chorale 2020 Barbara Knight Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:  Awarded to a graduating senior from Barnstable High School, St. John Paul II High School, Cape Cod Academy, Mashpee High School, Sandwich High School or Sturgis High School. Applicants must plan to major in music in college, whether that be in music education, music theory, composition, music management, conducting, music history, performance, etc. 

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4, room 2112.

Amount of Award: $500 renewable as long as attending and majoring in music and maintain good academic standing.

Deadline: Must be received, by mail, by Monday, March 30, 2020

 

Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation Scholarship

Criteria:  Awarded to any High School Student in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  This scholarship is not academically based, but is awarded on the basis of need.  The committee is looking for exceptional leaders and people who have proven this leadership within their school.  In addition, the committee will give more serious consideration to those students who have made efforts to make a difference in their communities.

How to Apply:  Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  $1,000 up to $5,000 will be awarded.

Deadline:  to be received by committee by March 15, 2020.

 

Grand Lodge of Massachusetts Order Sons of Italy in America

Criteria:  For a graduating senior who will be attending an accredited college in the fall of 2020.  You do not need to be affiliated with the Grand Lodge, however, preference will be given to those who are current members, children or grandchildren of members is good standing of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts for at least two years.

How to Apply:  Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – room 2112.

Amount of Award:  Twenty scholarships at a maximum of $1,000 will be awarded.

Deadline: All applications must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2020.

 

Merrimack Valley Credit Union and Bridgewater Credit Union College Scholarship

Criteria:  For graduating seniors of public, private or technical high schools in the Merrimack Valley and South Shore regions (Barnstable is one). Students who will be attending full time in a certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s program at an accredited college in the U.S. are eligible to apply.

How to Apply:  Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – room 2212.

Amount of Award: Fifteen $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline:  Submit by mail before March 1, 2020.

 

Cape Cod Soccer Official’s Association - Richard E. Maxwell Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating high school seniors, class of 2020, who are actively involved in their school’s varsity soccer program. This award is named to honor the memory of CCSOA fellow official, Richard E. Maxwell.  “Max” spent over 50 years officiating soccer, was a CCSOA member for almost 40 years, and a teacher on the Cape for over 20 years. His dedication to the sport, fair play and good sportsmanship elevated the game for all.

Amount of Award:  Two or more $500 scholarships will be awarded. 

Deadline: December 31, 2019
