You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer

The Yawkey Foundation Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors, US Citizens and permanent MA residents who have a strong academic record, or show significant improvement over time; must come from low-to- middle income families; must be planning to attend a competitive, private college in Massachusetts; must be engaged in a meaningful mentoring relationship and must have an unmet financial need and would benefit from scholarship support.

Amount of Award: 4 year renewable scholarships from $7000+

Deadline: February 15, 2019, by noon.

 

Red Pine Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors planning to enroll at a competitive four-year college; have a strong academic record or have shown significant improvement over time; and must come from low – to –middle income families; community service as well as school and work activities.

Amount of Award: 4 year renewable scholarship; $ to be determined

Deadline:  February 15, 2019, by 5:00pm.

 

Cape Cod Soccer Official’s Association - Richard E. Maxwell Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating high school seniors, class of 2019, who are actively involved in their school’s varsity soccer program. This award is named to honor the memory of CCSOA fellow official, Richard E. Maxwell.  “Max” spent over 50 years officiating soccer, was a CCSOA member for almost 40 years, and a teacher on the Cape for over 20 years. His dedication to the sport, fair play and good sportsmanship elevated the game for all.

Amount of Award:  Two or more $500 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline: December 31, 2018

 

Cape Cod Classics Car Club Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors who are entering a college or university to study in an automotive related field.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: 6 scholarships at a minimum of $500 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 1, 2019

 

The Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who are a child of a veteran, or a dependent of a veteran, and who will be attending college in the fall of 2019 and have a GPA of 2.5 or above to be considered.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One scholarship will be awarded for $1000.

Deadline: April 30, 2019

 

Olde Barnstable Hyannis Membership Association Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicants must be residents of Barnstable, graduating BHS in 2019, and must have a golf connection – member of the golf team, playing golf, working in the industry as a caddie, grounds keeper, pro shop employee or starter.  Applicants will be judged on academic excellence, school and community participation, family finances and work history.

How to Apply:  Please use the BHS application on line (School Counseling website, left hand side of page, click on scholarship, then scholarship application > please download, fill out, then print out!)). Applicants must include your golf connection on application, as well s high school transcript.

Amount of Award: Two scholarships of $2000 each will be awarded.

Deadline: March 15, 2019

 

Rotary Club of Osterville Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who are residents of Barnstable or Mashpee and graduating from Barnstable High School, Mashpee High School, Cape Cod Tech, Cape Cod Academy, Sturgis Charter, or St. John Paul II High School. The prime criteria for this scholarship are high  academic achievement and service to others. Financial circumstances will also be considered.

Amount of Award: Two scholarships of $1000 a year (for four years) will be awarded.

Deadline: April 15, 2019

 

The Arc of Cape Cod – Edward and Lorraine O’Neill Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be Barnstable County residents who are pursuing a career as a teacher, therapist or a related field focusing on helping children or adults who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. This can be for a graduating high school senior or current college student.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: One scholarship of $500 to $1000 will be awarded.

Deadline: April 5, 2019

 

Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who best qualify, based on their altruistic services to the community – having an unselfish concern for or devoted to the welfare of others.

How to apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  Three scholarships of $1000 will be awarded.

Deadline:  April 1, 2019

 

Otis Civilian Advisory Council Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicants must be high school seniors who are dependents pf active duty or reserve Cape & Islands military including US Air Force, Air national Guard, US Army, Army National Guard, and/or Coast Guard, and will be attending an institute for higher learning in the Fall of 2019.

How to apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  Four scholarships of $1500 will be awarded.

Deadline:  April 1, 2019

 

PFLAG Cape Cod/Anne Toran Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicants should be graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated support and advocacy for the LGBTQ community and who will be enrolled in an institution of higher learning in the fall of 2019.

How to apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  One scholarship of $3000 will be awarded.

Deadline:  March 29, 2019 to the School Counseling Office – 2112.



The Barnstable Quarterback Club Scholarship:

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who have been a member of the BHS varsity football team/varsity cheerleading in, at least, his/her junior and senior year, have demonstrated dedication to the Red Raider organization, are of strong moral character on and off the field, exhibits excellent sportsmanship and are planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college for the upcoming fall.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. Kipnes in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  One or more scholarships will be awarded (amount to be determined)

Deadline: March 22, 2019 – please submit application to Mrs. Kipnes in 2112.
