The following are available now for this school year.
You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer (if available) in Hub 4 – Room 2112. Please see Mrs. MacFarlane with any questions.
West Barnstable Civic Association Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants should be graduating high school seniors who are US citizens and residents of West Barnstable. Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement and evidence of interest in civic affairs, including community service and volunteerism. Serious consideration will be given to those applicants who have demonstrated specific civic contributions related to West Barnstable community. Applicants should be planning to pursue a post high school degree of higher learning.
How to Apply: You can apply online at www.westbarnstable.org or pick up an application and information from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: 2 scholarships totaling $2000 will be awarded.
Deadline: March 31, 2020
Ron Brown Scholar Program
Criteria: Applicants must be a US Citizen or permanent residents, Black/African American and current high school seniors at the time of their application. Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and have demonstrated financial need.
How to Apply: See Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4, room 2112 for application instructions.
Amount of Award: 20 nationally recognized students will receive $10,000 scholarships annually for four years.
Deadline: Applications postmarked by November 1 will be given early consideration for the Scholarship; January 9, 2020 is the final deadline.
Massachusetts JCI Senate Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants must be a graduating student in Massachusetts who plans to continue their education at an accredited post-secondary college, university or vocational school.
How to Apply: Application is in word format and must be completed in accordance with the instruction thereon. Applications are available on line at http://majcisenate.weebly.com\ if you have questions regarding the application, please see Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – room 2112 or contact Ed or Marilyn Lariviere at 508-776-6059.
Amount of Award: The Massachusetts JCI Senate will award (2) $2000 scholarships to graduating students in Massachusetts. The State winners will be forwarded to the National JCI Senate and will be eligible for additional $1000 scholarships. We will also award a special $500 scholarship based on need and special circumstances.
Deadline: Fill out application online and print out from the website. Must be postmarked no later than January 24, 2020 and mailed to Ed & Marilyn Lariviere,
