The following are available now for this school year. 

You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer 

(if available) in Hub 4 – Room 2112. Please see Mrs. MacFarlane with any questions.



Cape Cod Classics Car Club Scholarship 

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors who are entering a college or university to study in an automotive related field.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112. 

Amount of Award: One scholarship at $750.00 will be awarded.

Deadline: March 13, 2020

 

Lyndon Paul Lorusso Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors from Barnstable High School who possess in marked degree, the qualities exhibited by the student in whose memory it is named and given; honest, responsible and compassionate with an understanding of difficulties faced by others and a desire to help them. The recipient of this scholarship must be pursuing education beyond high school at an institution deemed accredited by the committee. The committee shall take into consideration each recipient’s financial need, character, scholastic record and involvement in community work as well as extracurricular school activities.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  2 Scholarships in the amount of $2500 will be awarded.

Deadline: Applications should be completed and returned to Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112 no later than March 23, 2020

 

Military Officers Association of Cape Cod Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be high school seniors of Cape Cod and the Islands who is the child, sibling or grandchild of a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration who are; 

  • On active duty or,
  • A retired member of the above with the minimum of 20 years active service currently receiving retired pay or,
  • A reserve/guard member of the above with a minimum of 20 years’ service completed or,
  • A member of same who may be deceased, killed or missing in action or,
  • A former member of same who was separated under Honorable conditions.

Applicants are not necessarily required to attend a secondary school on Cape Cod or the Islands, but must be a resident of thereof.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Number of awards varies. Scholarships totaling $12000 will be awarded.

Deadline: Completed applications must be returned to Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 by March 20, 2020 in order to be sent to CCMOA by March 28, 2020.

 

Joseph A. McCarthy Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors who are Massachusetts citizens who will be attending an accredited college, university, or technical school in the fall of 2020.

Applicants need not be Irish to apply!!

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112. 

Amount of Award:  Four scholarships for $1000 will be awarded.

Deadline:  April 15, 2020

 

Monument Beach Sportsman’s Club “Alcott Tobey Scholarship”

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who plan on attending college or vocational school in the fall of 2020, who are residents of Massachusetts, or may live outside of MA if they are a relative of a current MBSC member, and must maintain a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award:  Three $500 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline: April 1, 2020

 

First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union Scholarships

Criteria: Scholarships shall be limited to high school seniors who will be furthering their education in an accredited two or four-year college program to which he or she has been accepted for the following academic year. 

Barbara Whitehead Silva Scholarship – This scholarship is offered in honor of Mrs. Barbara Silva, former President/ CEO, who retired from First Citizens after 45 years. Applicants should be graduating seniors who plan to attend college in the fall of 2020 whose parents/guardians or the applicant are members of the First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union.

First Citizens’ Charitable Foundation Scholarship – Applicants should be graduating seniors whose parent/guardian or the student are First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union account holders (Teachers, EMT, Police, Firefighters and Health Care professionals).

How to Apply: Information and applications on how to apply are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.  You may also apply online after January 1, 2020 at www.firstcitizens.org 

Amount of Award: Barbara Whitehead, one $1000 scholarship will be awarded.

Charitable Foundation, three $5000 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline: April 1, 2020

 

Kraig Andre’Diggs Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:  This scholarship was created to honor the life of Kraig Diggs, BHS Class of 2015 graduate, to continue his legacy of compassion, kindness and living life to its fullest.  Any graduating seniors, Class of 2020, planning to continue their education in the fall, are encouraged to apply; financial need will be considered.

Amount of Award: 2 Scholarships @ $1500 each will be awarded to 2 BHS students

Deadline: No later than April 30, 2020
