The following are available now for this school year.
Unless otherwise noted you can obtain applications and information from Mrs. MacFarlane in School Counseling, room 2112.
Pay close attention to how the scholarships are paid if you should be the recipient. This information will be at the end of each Scholarship listed if I have it.
Massachusetts AFL/CIO 65th Annual Scholarship
Criteria: To qualify, students must be a senior in high school, fill out the online application, and then take our exam. Applicants must register in advance at www.massaflcio.org/scholarships. The exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions and one written essay. You will take the test in Hub 4, room 2112. Exams will be administered online and will be offered to registered students between Monday, February 5, 2024, and Friday, February 9, 2024. Once again, we will be using Classmarker to administer the exams online. All study resources including the study guide, flashcards, and quizzes are available by visiting www.learnlaborhistory.com.
How to Apply: Visit www.massaflcio.org/scholarships to register for the exam.
Amount of Award: Number and dollar amount of awards are to be determined.
***Deadline: AFL-CIO will be accepting applications through Friday, December 22, 2023. The deadline is firm, and *no registrations will be accepted after 12/22, no exceptions.
Garden Club of Hyannis Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors planning to major in environmental fields of study, such as botany, conservation, environmental studies, forestry, horticulture, landscape design/architecture or a related field.
How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in School Counseling, room 2112.
Amount of Award: Number and amount of scholarships to be determined based on the number of applicants.
Deadline: April 1, 2024
Marstons Mills Village Association Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants should be graduating seniors who are residents of Marstons Mills who plan on attending college in the fall of 2024.
How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in School Counseling, room 2112
Amount of Award: Number and amount of Scholarships vary.
Deadline: Must be postmarked by March 8, 2024
Scholarship will be paid directly to recipient upon proof of acceptance to a college or institution at a Scholarship presentation the beginning of June.
Criteria: For a graduating senior athlete. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in or what their capacity in that sport is. The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post-secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community.

Amount of Award: One $500 scholarship will be awarded.
Deadline: June 19, 2024
Harriet M. Faunce Trust Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants should be residents of Bourne, Sandwich or Barnstable and graduating from a public high school in one of these towns or in a private high school. You must be planning on attending college in the fall of 2024.
How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in School Counseling – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: $2,000 each college year (max of 4 years.)
Deadline: March 15, 2024
This scholarship is paid directly to the college or institution upon proof of acceptance to college or institution. You must send this to the Donor.
Otis Civilian Advisory Council Scholarship
Criteria: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a senior at or graduated from high school and have applied to be or be presently enrolled in an institute for higher learning. All applicants must be military dependents of those currently in active duty or reserve Cape and Islands Military including, US Air Force, Air National Guard, US Army, Army National Guard, Space Force or Coast Guard.
How to apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in School Counseling, room 2112.
Amount of Award: Four scholarships of $1,500 will be awarded.
Deadline: April 1, 2024
Scholarship will be paid directly to student upon successful completion of first semester.
