You should inquire and/or apply by using the online application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the application in the Scholarship Drawer 

(if available) in the School Counseling Department – Room 2112. Please see Mrs. MacFarlane with any questions.



National Association of Secondary School Principals Celebrate Youth Volunteers through Prestigious Award Program:

Open to students Nationwide, now in it’s 25th year, The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program provides an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of student volunteerism throughout the student body and to recognize students who have distinguished themselves through community service.  It also gives one or more students the chance to win state and national recognition.

How to Apply:  Any student who has volunteered over the past year can fill out an application at spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit.  

Amount of Award:  President’s Volunteer Service Award, eligible to win a $1000 scholarship or more, an engraved medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C., next spring for four days of special recognition events.

Deadline for entry:  Applications must be submitted online, printed and returned to Mrs. MacFarlane in room 2112 by November 5, 2019.

 

Jason A. Fedele Memorial Scholarship Fund

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating high school seniors from Cape Cod and the Islands who work and will be continuing his/her education.

How to Apply: Applications are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Approximately 5 – 7 scholarships will be awarded this year 

ranging from $500 to $1500. (Total awards amount to $5000 - $8000 each year)

Deadline: July 1, 2020

 

Gary Philbrick Memorial Gold Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicants must be going to college or in college planning a career in the golf industry, sports management or agronomy.  Students must live in one of the towns on Cape Cod & the Islands. Interview is required (candidates must dress in proper golf attire).  This scholarship is need based and you must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.

Amount of Award:  Award amount not noted on application.

Deadline:  May 31, 2020

 

Town of Barnstable – Martin J. Flynn Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants must be a resident of the Town of Barnstable who will be pursuing their education beyond the secondary level at an institution deemed accredited by the Scholarship Committee following graduation.  Student must have financial need, character, and scholastic record and must be involved in community service as well as extra-curricular activities.

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs. MacFarlane in the School Counseling Office – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Scholarships will be given in varying amounts, not to exceed $1000.

Deadline: April 30, 2020

 

Cape & Islands Workforce Development Board Youth Council Scholarship

Criteria: Applicants should be graduating high school seniors, pursuing higher education and/or a technical program or trade. 

How to Apply: Applications and information are available from Mrs.MacFarlane in

Hub 4 – Room 2112.

Amount of Award: Between two to four awards of $500 - $1000/each will be awarded. 

Deadline: March 13, 2020
