The Math Team meets once a week to practice upper level math skills and critical thinking on a variety of topics for every grade level 8-12. Calculators are not allowed during rounds and all topics are done by hand except for the team round. The questions are designed to take skill based knowledge and apply critical thinking to formulate solutions beyond the classroom. The team meets four times a year to compete against other schools locally in person and other schools in the state based on our scores. The Math Team promotes teamwork, creativity, listening skills, and higher order thinking. The weekly meetings are designed to prepare for the upcoming competitions.
