The Hip-Hop Club provides students the opportunity to explore the cultural, historical, and musical background of hip-hop. Students learn and understand various hip-hop concepts including songwriting, instrumentation, topics in hip-hop and musical form. Students will learn how to compose and sequence original hip-hop instrumentals while demonstrating strong compositional techniques, based on their knowledge of the genre. Students' work can be posted on SoundCloud or other various social media platforms.
