Vision and Hearing Screening:

Screenings are performed annually on those students in grades K thru 5, and grade 7, 10. Parents/Guardians are notified of those students needing further evaluation.

Postural Screening:

Screenings are performed annually on grades 5-9. Parents/Guardians are notified by a letter if there is a need for follow up care by the primary care physician.

Physical Exams:

Every student needs a general examination upon entering the school district, upon admittance to the kindergarten, 3rd, 7th, and 10th grade. Students who are candidates for a school athletic team will have a sports physical exam to determine physical fitness.

Growth Screening:

Height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) are measured each year in grades K-8, and grade 10. Results are graphed and recorded in the student's health record.
