E-cigarettes. We’ve all heard of them. Chances are, you’ve heard of these too. JUUL. Vape. Both of these are e-cigarettes. Vaping is a very harmful substance, with quite a few negative side effects, such as bronchiolitis obliterans (popcorn lung) and heart problems. There are many different ways to vape, as well. Now, with more and more middle and high schoolers participating, I’ve been wondering. Why do people vape if they know what can happen? Well, I think I’ve found an answer.
Vaping is the act of using a device to inhale and exhale aerosol, also known as vapor. The e-juice that is in the devices can come in many different flavors, ranging from pink lemonade to crab legs. This can attract children to vape. There are over 7,700 flavors of vape, so people have a lot to choose from! That doesn’t mean you should, though, and there are many reasons as to why. For one, the battery in a vaping device can explode. A 63 year old man lost an eye when vaping once.
When people vape, many symptoms will occur. These symptoms (when you first start) could be:

These are just some. There could be many others. Now, if you still want to vape, answer this question. Do you want to have heart problems? If you vape, you are at risk of having heart problems, or other consequences. Do you want to know what they are, and find out how to prevent them?
Vaping is a dangerous thing to do, and for quite a few reasons. There are many, many consequences to vaping. There are respiratory problems, gastrointestinal problems, heart problems, nicotine poisoning, gum disease, bad breath, teeth grinding, gum recession, and a weakened immune system. Here's how to prevent them. Don't vape! It's just as simple as that. Do not vape. Or smoke, for that matter. Don't use tobacco. That's the best way to prevent it.
