4/16/21 - Important Post-April Vacation Info On Virtual Learning

Good afternoon,

I hope you all have a wonderful April Break.  We are very excited to have all of our students (with the exception of Cohort D students) back in person five days a week starting on Monday, April 26th.

I want to make you aware of one of the larger changes with students attending 5 days a week in person.  Starting April 26th, unless it has been cleared by the health office or a school administrator, our students will not have access to learning virtually. Access to virtual learning (Zoom) will only be approved for COVID isolation/quarantine reasons.  Please contact the nurse's office to let them know if your child needs to access school virtually due to COVID reasons.  It will be necessary to provide medical documentation, and may take up to three school days for students to have access to virtual learning.  We do consider students who are quarantined post travel eligible for virtual learning, but you must contact the nurse’s office to let them know.

The nurses’ office can be reached directly at 508-420-9054 or by email at: Powell_Kathleen@mybps.us (fifth grade nurse) and McLaughlin_Susan@mybps.us (fourth grade nurse). The nurses are out of the office for spring break and will respond to calls and emails on Monday, April 26th.

I have also attached the current BPS travel advisory.

Be well,

- Mr. Wojkowski, BUES Principal
