As we end our second week of remote learning and begin to prepare for in-person learning, I have several updates to share.
In person schedule for the next two weeks
The next phase of our reopening begins on Monday, September 28th. For the first TWO WEEKS, in person learning at BUES will be from 8:00 am -12:10 pm. Those students who are in the building will be dismissed at 12:10.
Wednesdays are remote for all. The Wednesday schedule will be the same as this week. Days for each cohort
If your student is in cohort A: they will be in-person on Monday, Tuesday; they will be remote on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
If your student is in cohort B: they will be remote on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; they will be in-person on Thursday and Friday.
If your student is in cohort C:they will be in-person on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; they will be remote on Wednesday.
If a student comes to school on a day they are not supposed to, you will have to come to the building and pick them up.
If you are driving your student to school
Please see the map for parent pick up (attached).
Students will enter using different doors depending on grade level.
Students can get dropped off starting at 7:50 am.
Pick up will start at 11:50 am.
On Monday, we will have Barnstable Police officers on hand to help with traffic flow. ● Please be patient as we are anticipating an increase in parent drop-off and pick-up.
Breakfast and Lunch
Students will receive a brown-bag breakfast as they enter the building and a lunch they can bring home. We will not be eating lunch at school next week. In addition to breakfast, students will have time for a snack that they can bring from home. ● Breakfast is free all year, and lunch will be free until December 31st.
For cohort D students (Monday. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and for all students on Wednesdays, lunch is available for pick up 9 am -10am.
What to keep in backpacks for the year
Students will keep their backpacks on their chairs throughout the day.● Small package of tissues
Small bottle of hand sanitizer
An extra mask
Thank you for your continued effort to support your child’s learning. I am looking forward to having students return to the building. It’s been too long!
