Mrs. O'Hara's Third Grade News

  • January 31, 2020

Thank you to all of you who continue to help your child with their homework.

Reading: We are working on unit 4 in our Reach books. The students are reading about our environment and how we can help. We are reading several realistic fiction stories and answering questions.

Math: We have been working on fractions which include comparing fractions, equivalent fractions and ordering of fractions.

Events: We had a visit on Thursday from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy. The children learned about tagging the sharks. We measured each shark( they were blow up models) in 4 ways. The children graphed their findings. We learned a great deal about how sharks are important to our environment.

Notes: Please make sure your child continues to show respectful, responsible and safe behaviors at all times. We are the role models for the school and the younger grades look up to us. We will be doing another family activity on February 11, so this is another chance for our third graders to be role models.

Thank you for all of your help.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. O'Hara
