Principal’s Newsletter - November 24, 2020
On behalf of the Enoch Cobb staff, I would like to say thank you to all of our preschool families and friends for your support, generosity and patience as we continue to learn how to navigate this pandemic. The staff has been working diligently, learning new tools and strategies to provide engaging instruction to our little ones in a remote world. We wish you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
Superintendent Meg Mayo-Brown emailed families on Friday announcing that all students will be participating in remote learning on Monday, November 30th and Tuesday, December 1st, following the Thanksgiving holiday break. This includes preschool students. Please review our updated Education Plan for Remote Learning to learn more about what remote learning looks like for preschoolers.
Parent-teacher conferences will be coming up December 8th through December 10th at specific times. Please check your email box for information from your child’s teacher or our translators on how to sign up. These are optional meetings to learn about how your child is doing at school.
If you have any difficulty with apps on your child’s Ipad or challenges logging in to Google Classroom, please email our technology office at email@example.com.
Help for the Holidays
This year, we are collecting Target gift cards for Enoch Cobb families in need so they may purchase food, clothing, household supplies or gifts for their children. If you would like to help our families, please send a gift card in your child’s backpack or drop it off in the collection box located in the main entrance of our school by December 7th.
Thank you to those of you who completed our parent-teacher communication survey. Results showed that families are seeking more general information in a simplified format. Based on your feedback, you may notice teachers have modified their landing pages to make them family-friendly.
