The Barnstable Public Schools English Department strongly encourages incoming 6-12 grade students to stay connected in the summer months by engaging with their local libraries to find books, articles, podcasts, and other interesting texts!
Reading Suggestions & Resources
BIS Summer Reading – Grades 6-7
- Choose a book of your liking to read this summer.
- Read and create a project from the list below.
- Bring your project to the BIS Library before Friday, September 12, 2025
- Receive a free cone to Steve & Sue’s Partee- Freeze & 10 BIS BUCKS! One cone coupon per student.
- Additional projects will award you 10 more BIS BUCKS! Each additional project must be a new book and a new project choice.
NOTE: The village libraries are available to help you choose a great read!
