Welcome to the Advanced Placement page at Barnstable High School. Our philosophy at Barnstable High School is that students should step up and try one Advanced Placement course prior to graduating, especially if they will be entering into post-secondary education. Taking an AP course will allow students to understand the rigors of a college-like course while still in the safe confines of BHS. Students taking AP courses are required to take the national AP exam for the course in May. Currently BHS offers many Advanced Placement courses all of which are detailed in our program of studies.
