Dear Barnstable Families,
The Barnstable Public Schools educates the whole child by creating a student-centered school culture that addresses students’ physical, social, emotional, and academic needs by creating a safe and healthy learning environment in which students are challenged, supported, and engaged. In an effort to continuously support our commitment to the whole child, the District has partnered with Care Solace. Care Solace is an online resource with a live 24/7 concierge line meant to assist individuals and families in finding local counseling services and mental health related programs. To use Care Solace, individuals answer ten basic questions in order to receive an extensive list of referrals to applicable care providers. Care Solace takes into account all types of private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, and those that have no insurance. The resource also filters by age, gender, zip code, and special request. Services are available in multiple languages. Care Solace is now available for use by Barnstable Public Schools’ students, staff, and families. This concierge service of connecting individuals to providers is free and is an optional resource available to our community. Care Solace does not require a user’s name, address, phone number, or date of birth. All information provided is completely confidential and securely stored.
