October 25, 2020 Update
Fall greetings West Villages Elementary School families,
As we enter this last week of October I feel we have gotten a stable rhythm going and we hope it continues. Our reopening plans continue to shift as we notice improvements and make adjustments to unexpected challenges. This week we will shift our recess plan, change to session 2 of specials, and reinforce our 6 feet social distance expectation with students. We appreciate your continued support, if you have any questions about reopening or the changes please give us a call at 508 420-1100. This week's updates and reminders.
Drop Off and Pick Up
In an effort to make the process faster for everyone, we need your help. If families can in the morning pull all the way up to the sidewalk then quickly assist your child out of the car to staff that is waiting this would expedite the process. Families do not need to leave their cars, staff will assist students into the building. During pickup in the afternoon please do not pull forward until 3:00 PM since students may still be going outside for mask breaks. Starting at 3:00 PM cars should pull all the way forward to the sidewalk where students are picked up. Once the line has stopped exit the car and wait for your child to see you. Please quickly get your child in the car and prepare to exit so that we can call the next cars in the lines. We want this to be safe for everyone, please refrain from using your phone and be fully focused on the process. We need your help to make it more efficient so that we can get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. Thank you again for your assistance.
