  • Jennifer Brown
    Educational Background: BA, Framingham State University. MAT, University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
    Ms. Brown teaches English I, II, and III.  She is on the Faculty Council and is advisor to the Chess Club.
    Keith Caldwell
    Educational Background: Master's of Education, Lesley University.  Bachelor of Arts, English, Southeastern Massachusetts University (presently UMass Dartmouth)
    Mr. Caldwell currently teaches Drama and Theatre Arts, English III Honors, and English I Honors.  He is the Head Girls Cross Country Coach and the Head Girls Spring Track Coach.
    Carol J. Carlson 
    Educational Background: BA, Bridgewater State University, English with a minor in Education.  Ms. Carlson is currently enrolled in the MAT/English Graduate program at Bridgewater State.
    Ms. Carlson currently teaches English I and English II.  She is the advisor to the BHS Baking and Nutrition Club.
    Cathe Cerretani

    Leanne DeCosta
    Educational Background: BA, University of Massachusetts; M.Ed., Cambridge College
    Ms. DeCosta currently teaches English I and Creative Writing.  She is the advisor to the Otaku Club.
    Meghan Fligg
    Educational Background: Graduate of Barnstable High School; BA, Colby-Sawyer College, English Education
    Ms. Fligg currently teaches English 2 and English 4.  She is the Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach and advisor to the Challenger Club
    Mary Gagnon
    Educational Background: BA, Providence College, English; M.Ed., Cambridge College
    Ms. Gagnon teaches English I Honors and CP2.  She is involved in the BHS Mentoring Program.
    Pamela Houghton
    Educational Background: BS, Education and Special Education: K-8; M.Ed., Reading/Language K-12
    Ms. Houghton teaches Academic Literacy
    Maureen Leveroni
    Ms. Leveroni teaches AP Language, EN III and EN II.  She is advisor to the Poetry Club.
    Julia Markoff
    Educational Background: BA, UMASS Amherst, English; MA, UMASS Amherst, Secondary English education.
    She currently teaches English 1, 2, and 3 in the Alternative Learning Program.  
    Maureen McLaughlin
    Educational Background: BA/English and MAT/English, Bridgewater State University
    Ms. McLaughlin currently teaches English 4  and English 2.  She enjoys travel, photography, gardening, and bicycling.

    Michael D. Mulgrew
    Educational Background: B.S., University of Massachusetts; M.Ed Lesley University
    Mr. Mulgrew currently teaches Eighth Grade English.  He is involved in the Drama Club.

    Michele Netto 
    Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University; Master’s degree in education from UMASS, Boston
    Ms. Netto currently teaches Advanced Placement Language and Composition, Newspaper Production, and English 3 CP1.  She is the adviser of the student newspaper, Insight.
    Denise Pita
    Educational Background: BS, Elementary Education K-8, Boston State College; MA, Early Childhood Curriculum and Development, Suffolk University.
    Ms. Pita teaches 8th grade English.
    Catherine J. Richards
    Educational Background: J.D. University of Notre Dame Law School; B.A. English Northern Illinois University
    Ms. Richards currently teaches English 2  and English 4.
    Christy Salley
    Educational Background: B.A., St. Lawrence University; M.A. in English Literature from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
    Ms. Salley currently teaches AP English Literature and Composition and EN II.  She has been involved in the Future Problem Solving program for 16 years.  She coaches 2 FPS teams, coach Scenario Writers, and coach Community Problem Solving. She is the co-advisor to Kaleidoscope with Ms. Leveroni.

    Ms. Styche currently teaches AP Language and Composition.  She is the BHS Poetry Co-Coordinator
    Martha Rockwell Swindler 
    Educational Background: Brown University, BA English ’92; Tufts University MA Ed. ‘93
    Ms. Swindler currently teaches Understanding Diversity, Yearbook, and English II Honors.  She runs the yearbook club, and is involved with Challenge Day and the Gay/Straight Alliance. 
    Laura A. Welch
    Educational Background: B.A. English, Regis College 1994; M.Ed. Reading, American International College 2011
    Ms. Welch currently teaches Academic Literacy Grades 8-12.  She is the Co-Advisor to the Poetry Club.
