    Dear Parents:

Thank you to all of you who continue to help your child with making sure they do their homework. It really helps!! Thanks to all of you who keep in touch with me through e-mail.

    Reading:

We are finishing up our unit 4 of the Reach reading program. We have been working on the theme of working together and nature’s balance. The students have been writing opinions and persuasive arguments.

    Math:

We are working hard with our math. The children have finished working with fractions. We are now working on graphs.

    Responsive Classroom:

We are continuously reviewing how to be responsible, respectful, and safe in our classroom and in the school at all times. The children are showing respect by being good listeners and taking care of our classroom and the items in it. We are also working on being respectful to our classmates. We have posted our classroom rules and the children are practicing showing how they follow those rules. We are working on social skills every week.

    Messages:

Your child should bring their red homework folder to school every day. They should be reading every night and answering the assigned questions. We are reading “Skinny Bones” and “ Cam Jansen” books. They also will have some math homework during the week. To get in touch with me please send me an e-mail or use the Remind app on your phone.

    Have a great week!
