My Choice Matters is a Cape-wide media campaign sponsored by the Barnstable County Regional Substance Abuse Council that seeks to promote healthy behaviors. The campaign also highlights ways that communities can provide positive choices. Research shows that misconceptions of the prevalence about risky behaviors can actually increase unhealthy behaviors among teens and changing this perception and providing alternative activities can reduce them. In an effort to increase positive decisions the My Choice Matters campaign reinforces the positive behaviors of our community members and encourages healthy choices.
