Barnstable Local Comprehensive Planning Committee: Seeking New Members
The town is seeking new Local Comprehensive Planning Committee members as we have had a few members step down. The current Local Comprehensive Planning Committee (LCPC) is comprised of representatives of all seven villages and members of several Town Boards and Committees.
The Town Manager is seeking to appoint additional members to the Local Comprehensive Planning Committee as it begins phase two of the planning process. The Town is looking to diversify representation on the Committee to ensure the Committee’s makeup is reflective of the community’s population and is therefore seeking applications, particularly from people of color, people with disabilities, and people whose first language is not English.

Interested in becoming a foster parent?
The Department of Children and Families is actively recruiting foster parents for children in your community and surrounding areas.
Our goal is to provide our foster children with a supportive and healing environment in a home in their own community until they can be reunited with their families or another plan can be made on their behalf.
If you are thinking about becoming a foster parent, you can learn more about the application process and the supports provided by the Department by attending an informational meeting, checking out our Foster MA web page, or contacting me directly:
