A grant-funded nutrition program aimed at Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is being run in partnership with the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension. It runs for six Saturdays in June and July, and we will hold a second session in July/August. The general idea is to teach grandfamilies about the importance of seasonal produce, create a dish under the guidance of the instructor, get a take-home Earth Box planter kit, read stories about gardening and nutrition with the librarians and have a chance to speak with representatives of social service agencies to get questions answered.
NOTE: We would accept other guardian-child relationships too.
