    Fall, 2018

It is autumn and we are looking forward to a great year of learning with Hyannis West students!  We always love to have parents help out at school and with field trips! If you would like to volunteer for your student’s class on field trips, please fill out a CORI form with Ms. Curran in the front office.

Our first Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting was a great success!  We are always welcoming new members, so please join us for our next meeting, Tuesday, October 16th at 4:30pm.  Interpreters are present at meetings, so if you can make the time to be part of our parent support for the school, we would greatly appreciate it!

In November, we are planning an ESL Family Night on Thursday, November 29th from 5-7pm. Come out and enjoy a night of music, games, food,  and fun! More details will be sent home with students.

Ms. Bohannon has returned to the 2nd and 3rd grade newcomer room from maternity leave, and we are so excited to welcome her back. Ms. Doherty is working hard in our kindergarten and 1st grade newcomer room, to help these students increase their oral vocabulary skills so that they can become successful students!
At home, please continue to encourage your student to use Imagine Learning ( If your child has an account, individual usernames and passwords will be sent home. Also, help us foster a love of reading by taking time, at home, to read books with your student in any language (English or your native language)!
