My name is Liz Chamsarian and I have worked in Barnstable for 10 years. I currently teach first and second graders in one of the Intensive Learning programs, where we work on academic, social, and behavioral skills.
The following are some great resources I use in our classroom which you can use with your child at home:
Heidi Songs: these are songs and movements that go along with our sight words. A lot of the songs are available through You Tube. Look them up and have your child sing to you! Our favorite song is the “yellow” song.
iPad Apps:Writing Wizzard: this app teaches your child how to write letters, numbers, shapes, and words in a fun way. You can program it to practice your child’s letter sounds, spelling words, and sight words.
TouchMath: Check out the TouchMath website for free materials that can be used for extra reinforcement at home. https://www.touchmath.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=freestuff.welcomePlease feel free to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone at 508-790-9890Thanks for visiting my page!
