I am the school psychologist at Centerville Elementary School. This is my tenth year working as a school psychologist! I attended The State University of NY at Oswego for my undergraduate degree in Psychology. For my Master's degree in School Psychology, I attended The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. I come from Wareham Middle School where I worked for nine years as a School Psychologist and Team Chairperson. My experience includes working as direct care worker for students with behavioral needs and an assistant respite coordinator.
As a school psychologist, I have many roles in the school. I am considered the Team Chairperson, which means that I run special education, 504 and ISIP meetings. I also complete assessments including psychological, cognitive and behavioral. These assessments look at the many parts of a students cognitive functioning that may impact them as social and academic learners. One of my favorite parts of my job is consulting with teachers and parents. This means that I get to problem solve with them and come up with interventions or strategies used to support students.
I am so happy to be part of the Centerville Team!
