Spring 2017 Dental Examinations
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to announce Polished, LLC, a program providing preventative dental care, will be visiting the Enoch Cobb Early Learning Center, May 2017.
We welcome all children in this program, whether or not they have dental insurance.
How The Polished Dental Visit works at SchoolThe appropriate number of days to visit the school is scheduled based on the number of students enrolled.Two weeks prior to the scheduled visit, Polished Dental will post the date of their scheduled visits to the school on the www.polishedteeth.com website.On the day of the visit, the Polished Dental licensed dental professionals will arrive at the school. The dental professionals work with the school nurse to begin the dental exams. A student will not be out of the classroom for more than 20 minutes.The student will receive:
At the end of each school day visit, the school nurse is notified of any urgent dental care issues and is also provided with a copy of each student's oral health report; which is sent home to the student's parent via their backpack.Please visit www.polishedteeth.com to see more information.
- A dental exam;
- Dental cleaning;
- Fluoride application;
- Sealants (as needed);
- Health education (age appropriate);
- Dental health report for his/her parent; and
- Toothbrush and toothpaste.
For new students to this program their Parents/Guardians will receive a health form/permission slip during the month of April 2017, which must be returned to the School Nurse if they are interested in having their child participate in this program.
NOTE:If a permission form is not returned to the Health Office, your child will not be examined by the Polished Dental staff.
