The English as a Second Language (ESL) program serves students who are bilingual or students whose families speak a language other than English at home. At Centerville Elementary, we have students who speak Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian, Mandarin Chinese, Urdu, Patois, Armenian, and Greek.
Our classes include English grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening to social language and academic language. We also reinforce content area instruction by reviewing vocabulary and directions.
