Barnstable High School

Educators at Barnstable High School take pride in supporting each student’s academic journey, talents, and interests. Students can select from more than 28 athletic teams and 44 clubs for co-curricular activity. Educators also engage students beyond the classroom through community service activities, travel abroad opportunities, educational field trips, student art shows and drama productions, multigenerational happenings, and events such as “Star Parties” at Sandy Neck Beach. Healthy Hallways is an initiative at BHS that helps each student to feel seen, heard, and respected throughout the day. At Barnstable High School we take PRIDE in our students and in our community: Productive, Respectful, Involved, Diverse, Educated.

Barnstable Intermediate School

At Barnstable Intermediate School, students regularly engage in wellness activities, learn about growth mind-set, and take electives that they choose as a part of their weekly routine. Educators and staff members recognize their critical role in supporting students as they make the transition from elementary students to secondary students on their way to becoming more self-reliant, self-aware, and caring young adults.

Barnstable Elementary Schools

For the district’s youngest learners, Barnstable Public Schools offers five village elementary schools that use a K-3 model. These include:

• Barnstable-West Barnstable Elementary School
• Barnstable Community Innovation School
• Centerville Elementary School
• Hyannis West Elementary School
• West Villages Elementary School

When students leave village elementary schools, they unite as one community of scholars at Barnstable United Elementary School for fourth and fifth grades.
