Task

You and a classmate have been assigned by the Massachusetts Department of Travel and Tourism to explore the highways and byways of Cape Cod. As you travel you need to keep a travel journal, taking notes on each of the towns, and their points of interest. At each stop along the way you will collect a town seal and add it to your passport book.

Process

You will work with a travel partner and visit each of the fifteen towns of Cape Cod.

Each of you will keep a travel journal.

Each of you will record your travels by adding a "town seal" to your passport after you have completed a cyber-exploration, library search or a site visit to a town.

This project will require you to use at least five of the sites from the table below.

At each stop you will read about the town, it's history, and one unique aspect about it. Write a journal entry for each town.

Be sure to include in your journal,

the name of the town

the date of your visit

an interesting fact about the town

what reference source you used.

When you have completed your Cape Cod Tour, select one town that you enjoyed and create a poster to share with the class about that town.

Your poster should be,

neat and organized

show clearly the name of the town and it's location on Cape Cod

three points of interest in the town. Remember your poster and presentation should convince the audience that this town would be a GREAT place to visit.

You will have four weeks to complete this assignment.
