Introduction
Welcome
to Cape Cod, one of the most
beautiful places in the world! You will be journeying around the Cape, and
each of the 15 unique towns that make up this man-made island. This arm-shaped
peninsula is rich in history
and tradition. Today Cape Cod is a very popular tourist attraction, as well
as, home to industries such as fishing, cranberry growing, and scientific
research.
Task
You and
a classmate have been assigned by the Massachusetts Department of Travel and
Tourism to explore the highways and byways of Cape Cod. As you travel you
need to keep a travel journal, taking notes on each of the towns, and their
points of interest. At each stop along the way you will collect a town seal
and add it to your passport book.

Process
You
will work with a travel partner and visit each of the fifteen towns of
Cape Cod.

or a site visit to a town.
This
project will require you to use at least five of the sites from the table
below.
At
each stop you will read about the town, it's history, and one unique aspect
about it. Write a journal entry for each town.
Be
sure to include in your journal,

name of the town3>
the
date of your visit3>
an
interesting fact about the town3>
what
reference source you used.3>
When
you have completed your Cape Cod Tour, select one town that you enjoyed and create
a poster to share with the class about that town.
Your
poster should be,
neat
and organized3>
show
clearly the name of the town and it's location on Cape Cod3>
three
points of interest in the town.3> Remember your poster and presentation
should convince the audience that this town would be a GREAT place to visit.3>
