The Hyannis West Elementary School Council meets every month. All meetings start at 4:00 pm. Meeting dates for 2011-2012 school year are: October 5, 2011 All meetings are open to the public with a period of public comment at the beginning of the meeting.
School Council Initiatives 1. All field trip chaperones must complete the CORI check (Criminal Offense Records Inquiry) process before they are allowed to chaperone a field trip. Teachers will select their chaperones at least 4 weeks before the trip so that the process can be completed. 2. The use of electronic games and audio devices is not permitted during the school day including before and after school day care. This includes recess/lunch and any free time that students may have while at school. Staff will confiscate the devices if they observe students using them. Devices should be brought to the office where they will be kept until a parent or guardian retrieves it/them. 3. Attendance Procedures - Click Here for Hyannis West Attendance Procedures. 4.
