Over 30 years of service to Barnstable and Cape Cod

The Gateway program, established in 1979, serves the academic needs

of high-ability and highly-creative students in our schools.

WE:

  • coordinate with classroom teachers to help them differentiate instruction for students
  • provide in-class instruction in higher level thinking skills to all students, beginning in grade one
  • offer pull-out classes with trained Gateway Specialists
  • coordinate a number of competitive programs, such as Future Problem Solving,

           Math Counts, Math Olympiad, Mock Trial and Destination Imagination

Gateway prepares students for Advanced Placement classes at

Barnstable High School, where students may earn APID,

The Advanced Placement International Diploma.
