FRIENDS OF GATEWAY

CAMP DI, held during the April vacation for interested students in Grades 2 - 5, was a great success!  Thanks to the DI TEAM Coached by Beth Manhardt and Denise Holzman:  Emma Boudreau, Emma Crowley, Aurelio DiMuzio, Andrew Holzman, Kathryn McDonald, Julia Wareham, and a grant from the Friends of Gateway. 

Friends of Gateway, founded in 2005, was established as an "booster" group for the Barnstable Gateway Program

Membership is open to adults directly involved with the Gateway Program, past and present. All parents/guardians of Gateway students are considered Friends of Gateway. There is no formal membership procedure.  General meetings are held in May and October, with the Annual Meeting occurring at the latter meeting. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in this growing organization.

The objectives and goals of the Friends of Gateway are:

• To provide closer communication and expand awareness of the Gateway program among home, parents, educators, students and community .
• To reaffirm our dedication to our children's education and well-being;
• To promote community involvement in support of the Gateway program including communication, fundraising and other events;
• To promote the students' self-confidence, positive self-image, realization of their potential and their encouragement and support of each other.
