Work Permits

Work permits may be obtained at the reception office at Barnstable High School from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year. During the summer weeks residents and non-residents may obtain a work permit from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

  • Students 14 - 16: must pick up a promise of employment card to be completed by the employer and a physician before obtaining the actual work permit which then requires a birth certificate and a parent/guardian must be present to sign the final document.

 

  • Students 16 - 18: must present proof of age and may sign the document themselves.
