Summer reading.

Barnstable High School Reads!

Summer 2009

The staff of BHS were asked to share in the reading experience, and they did! To date, they have read many of the new 'summer reading titles', and shared their thoughts about the books.Check out the Student and Staff Picks link to see their reviews. In addition, we had a few guest readers, one a student from UNH, the other from 4 C's and teachers from other local districts. The enthusiasm for reading these young adult titles was absolutely awesome, so, thank you so much to all who participated.

"Probably one of the best means to explore young adult problems and concerns is to read the books created especially for this audience. This literature may also be useful in opening a dialogue between adults and young adults"(Vandergift 2008).
